The event is formal so come looking spiffy and snazzy ✨. There will be dinner provided by various African caterers followed by a plethora of performances such as traditional and contemporary dance, spoken word, singing performances, fashion show, and other expressions of African art and culture. This will take place on Sunday May 12th, in the EMU ballroom from 5pm to 8pm.
You do not want to miss it!! The staff has worked really hard to represent as many African countries as possible! Bring your friends and family and come celebrate Africa’s rich culture with us! FREE ADMISSION!!!”

This year we are happy to announce the presence of Massamba Diop whom perhaps is the world’s most renowned master of the Tama, a talking drum from Senegal, West Africa. Most recently, Massamba has received much acclaim for his collaboration on Marvel’s Black Panther soundtrack, providing the drumming for King Tchalla’s theme music, heard throughout the film whenever the title character makes an entrance.
