Faculty Seed Grant for Research Collaboration with GlobalPDX
The University of Oregon (UO) is keen to encourage collaboration between the university and GlobalPDX members. One way of facilitating this is through the creation of a grant called the “Faculty Seed Grant for Research Collaboration with GlobalPDX.” Faculty will be able to apply for a grant to work with our members to draft a funding proposal for a collaborative research project. To be clear, the grant will not fund the research project, it is meant to cover the time and resources needed to create a funding proposal.
Many of you may already work with faculty at the university, and if so, you and that faculty member may apply for this grant if you will collaborate on a new line of work. If you do not have a connection to faculty at the university, no problem. You could reach out to someone there you may like to partner with and encourage them to apply, or you can wait to see if someone contacts you for collaboration.
UO will be announcing the grant opportunity next week and faculty will have until mid-June to apply for the funding. The collaborative proposal writing between faculty and our members is meant to take place over the summer.
