A Personal Look at the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

02/12/2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

In collaboration with the University of Oregon’s Middle East and North African Program, the Conflict and Dispute Resolution Master’s (CRES) Program is co-sponsoring this presentation with Palestinian activist Dr. Mubarak Awad and Israeli activist Dr. Edy Kaufman.

Join Israeli activist Dr. Edy Kaufman & Palestinian activist Dr. Mubarak Awad to explore their Israeli/Palestinian Conflict through their experiences.

In the Middle East, the conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians produced so much hatred, violence and death. Change to other alternatives to create compassion, understanding and acknowledgment of each other is important. Edy and Mubarak are an example searching in earnest to stop the violence and create an atmosphere with different means. Our lives and examples reflects our vision of peace and change the image of an enemy to a friend. We will discuss our activities, our difficulties and our successes, that others who are interested in peace in that area can become a part of ending the conflict.
