Peace Corps Thought Leader Series: Returned Peace Corps Volunteers Advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

05/19/2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Peace Corps Thought Leader Series brings together Returned Peace Corp Volunteers (RPCVs) who have become thought leaders and influencers in various fields throughout the United States and across the world. We explore with them how their Peace Corps service informed and influenced their career choices and how the knowledge, skills, and abilities they gained through service have helped them make a positive impact in their fields and in their home communities. This Thought Leaders Series is one of the Peace Corps’ featured events during our 60th Anniversary celebration. Our next panel discussion will bring together three outstanding individuals that have successfully integrated diversity, equity, and inclusion into their chosen fields. As part of this discussion, the Peace Corps will also provide a brief update on the Agency’s Intercultural Competency, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work.

Panelists include:

  • Dr. Anthony Pinder, Vice Provost for Internationalization and Equity, Emerson College (RPCV/Ecuador)
  • Dr. Huong Diep, Board-certified Psychologist, Writer, and International Consultant in Private Practice (RPCV/Peru)
  • Hermence Matsotsa, DEI Strategist and Facilitator; Founder/CEO, uBuntuSpeaks (RPCV/Togo)

Note: Registration is required. Capacity is limited. If the event capacity is reached, participants will be able to view the live stream on the Peace Corps Office of Third Goal YouTube channel.
