Join us for a Pride Month program spotlighting the ongoing, important work of OutRight Action International and other leading activists sharing recent successes and challenges in the global LGBTIQ movement.
Featured speakers include:
- Shamim Salim, a queer disabled Muslim activist from Kenya (and one of OutRight’s UN Religion Fellows) speaking about the intersections of religion, disability, and LGBTIQ rights;
- Micheal Ighodaro, an LGBTIQ/HIV activist from Nigeria now living in the U.S., one of the founders of Global Black Pride, who’ll discuss the push for LGBTIQ rights led by global BIPOC activists;
- Katie Hultquist, Director of Leadership Giving for OutRight Action International, who’ll share how LGBTIQ communities are faring with COVID, their global programs combatting “conversion therapy,” and how OutRight and its partners are standing up to anti-LGBTIQ backlash around the world.
