Refugee Health: An Introduction for Primary Care (not hosted by GlobalPDX)

Refugees and their families from all over the world are commonplace in Oregon, particularly in the Portland Metro area. Healthcare providers in various settings frequently struggle to effectively understand, communicate with, and serve these populations. At the same time, refugees themselves experience health disparities and often find traditional healthcare practices and settings lacking in various ways. This program strives to promote increased comfort and efficacy for general healthcare providers and staff in their work with refugees and ultimately aims to achieve improved health outcomes in refugee communities in Oregon.
