What Now: An Antiracist Teach-In with Ibram X. Kendi and Robin DiAngelo

08/19/2020 @ 11:00 pm

America is in the midst of a national reckoning—and the largest antiracism movement many of us have seen in our lifetimes. We’ve marched, we’ve donated, we’ve contacted politicians. But . . . what happens now? Ibram X. Kendi, author of How to Be an Antiracist and the National Book Award winner Stamped from the Beginning, and the founding director of the Boston University Center for Antiracist Research, is helping us answer that question.

WHAT NOW: An Antiracist Teach-In is a weeklong virtual conversation series featuring dialogues between Professor Kendi and other prominent thought leaders and activists. Through these conversations, we hope to listen, learn, and reflect as Americans chart a path forward for our country—and ourselves. Each ticket comes with a book, fulfilled by a different Black-owned bookstore each night, and admission to that evening’s conversation.

Join us on Wednesday, August 19 at 8:15PM ET on Zoom for Night Four of the series, as Robin DiAngelo, author of the New York Times bestselling book White Fragility, joins Ibram X. Kendi on the virtual stage. Book orders for this event will be fulfilled by Harriett’s Bookshop, based in Philadelphia, PA. (Please note: Books will not ship until after the event, and can take between 3-5 days to deliver and will only ship within the United States.)

Tickets are available at Eventbrite.
