USAID Launches New Education Policy
USAID is pleased to announce the release of the Agency’s new Education Policy. The Education Policy provides an Agency-wide vision and direction for supporting our partner countries in strengthening their capacity to deliver quality learning opportunities for children and youth. It recognizes that education is a foundational driver of a country’s journey to self-reliance.
The new Education Policy outlines principles and priorities that will drive USAID’s decision-making and investments in education programming in order to achieve sustained, measurable improvements in learning outcomes and skills development for children and youth worldwide.

GlobalPDX 1st Anniversary
In February, we’ll be celebrating the first birthday of the GlobalPDX community and would like to commemorate the occasion by celebrating our members’ accomplishments. Launch of GlobalPDX
GlobalPDX launched into being on Monday, February 13 at Portland State University’s Elevating Impact Summit. Evan Thomas, GlobalPDX Director and Associate Professor of Engineering and Public Health at PSU, introduced the organization as a resource for individuals, businesses, non-profits, and academia working across Oregon in international development.
GlobalPDX currently has more than 60 individual and organizational members, and continues to build on its momentum by developing partnerships and opportunities aimed at nurturing synergies, improving practices and magnifying the impact of our community.
